Ford Edge Glass Roof Cracked

After a few days when i opened the shade the roof was cracked in a pattern that started near the front of the window and then worked its way back for about 12 inches headed right another 12 inches then back to the front of the window.

Dealer has told me its not covered under warranty unless it was leaking which it is not. I would have thought it would be a manufacturing issue as well as no stone chip or impact can be seen on it. Insurance has had to replace twice. Average repair cost is 2 000 at 14 000 miles.

There are no apparent stone chips or marks indicating damage anywhere on its travel. Trent edge 25 trent edge 25 feet under the table. I have had my car approximately 3 months. Ford knows they have a problem but refuse to admit it.

The crack cannot be felt on top or underneath so it appears to be in a middle layer of the glass. There is even a class action against ford in the usa for it.
